The International University of Malaya-Wales (IUMW) is a joint venture between the University of Malaya (UM) and the University of Wales, established in 2012. The university is committed to developing students who are ready to contribute to the next industrial revolution and has made significant progress in this regard. IUMW is one of the few universities in Malaysia to offer dual degree programs, in collaboration with Trinity St. David’s University (UWTSD) in Wales. After graduation, students receive a dual award from IUMW and UWTSD, providing an excellent opportunity for global education. Students can also spend a semester at Trinity University in Wales and receive a double degree in the UK.
IUMW and our partner university, Trinity St. David’s University (UWTSD) in Wales, UK, provide a dual award program. After graduation, students will be certified by IUMW and UWTSD. The dual award scheme is approved by the Malaysian Qualifications Authority (MQA) and the Higher Education Quality Assurance Agency (QAA), which is the institution that checks the standards and quality of higher education in the UK. Since the courses are organized, monitored, and evaluated by two different institutions, the intensity and quality of the awards for students can be ensured.
