Overview
MAHSA’s Master of Science in Public Health equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to protect, improve, and maintain the health of individuals and communities, preparing them for rewarding careers in various health settings within both the public and private sectors.
This 1.5-year program consists of three long semesters and a short semester, where students receive training in areas such as epidemiology, the prevention and control of communicable and non-communicable diseases, health systems management, biostatistics, research methodology, health promotion, occupational health, environmental health, health-risk assessment, population health, public health policy, and leadership. Instruction is delivered through a combination of didactic lectures, tutorials, case studies, seminars, workshops, field visits, and presentations from an expert faculty with extensive real-world public health experience, both locally and internationally. The primary goal is to develop graduates as advanced critical thinkers and analysts, capable of challenging norms and advancing public health initiatives.
Graduates of MAHSA University’s Master of Science in Public Health will possess the competencies and skills needed to effectively lead in diverse public health environments. They will be able to diagnose community health issues, manage and reduce health disparities, and implement solutions to enhance overall health. Additionally, they will be equipped with advanced research skills to conduct independent studies that inform evidence-based public health practices.
