Overview
MAHSA University’s Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology is a specialized three-year program designed for students who have completed their SPM or its equivalent and are interested in pursuing a career as medical laboratory technologists.
Students will learn how to collect samples and conduct tests to analyze body fluids, tissues, and other substances. The program covers a range of medical subjects, including clinical chemistry, clinical biology, hematology, hemopathology, histotechnology, immunology, specimen collection and handling, transfusion science, and other specialized areas.
Students will also be trained to think logically, pay meticulous attention to detail, and adhere to strict professional standards while developing their critical thinking skills.
This Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology prepares students for careers in hospitals, medical centers, educational institutions, as well as clinics and laboratories in both the public and private sectors.
Entry Requirements
SPM or equivalent with 5 credits in the following subjects:
Bahasa Malaysia; English; Mathematics
1 Science subject (Biology / Physics / Chemistry / General Science / Applied Science; any other 1 subject
