Overview
The Bachelor of Social Science (Honours) Guidance and Counselling program at Tunku Abdul Rahman University (UTAR) focuses on equipping students with comprehensive professional knowledge and skills to effectively address a wide range of psychological issues. The program prepares students to navigate developmental challenges, address behavioral difficulties, provide support for socio-emotional distress, and help individuals cope with psychological stress arising from various challenging situations. Through a combination of theoretical coursework and practical training, students develop a deep understanding of counseling principles, assessment techniques, and intervention strategies. They learn to apply ethical and evidence-based practices to promote mental health and well-being.
