Overview
The Advanced Diploma in Paediatric Nursing program at MAHSA University Malaysia is a one-year post-basic nursing program for students who have completed a Diploma in Nursing with relevant work experience and a specific interest in caring for infants and children. The program equips students with the knowledge and skills to attend to the nursing needs of infants, children, and their families. Topics covered include physiology, pathophysiology, nutrition for infants and children, practical application of theoretical knowledge, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the impact of illness and hospitalization on children. Graduates will be able to deliver primary nursing care, rehabilitative and palliative care, and need-specific health care to children of all ages. They will be prepared for employment in specialist pediatric hospitals and medical centers.
Entry Requirements
STPM
- Possess Diploma in Nursing from a recognised institution by MNB.
- All candidates Must be certified medically fit by a registered medical practitioner within ONE MONTH from commencement of the nursing programme
